Soft vs firm is a material and a process choice
The substrate sets the baseline: 100% viscose (rayon) is soft, highly absorbent and skin-friendly; polyester or viscose/PET blends are stronger and firmer with more texture. But the final hand-feel also depends on how the web is tensioned, saturated and handled on the line.
Why line control matters
A line tuned for one web will crush, stretch or under-saturate another. Because we own and built our lines, we re-tune the process for each material — so a soft viscose stays lofty and gentle, and a firm blend keeps its strength and texture. That is the difference between "we run what the machine allows" and "we make the line fit the product".
Common choices
- Ultra-soft 100% viscose: sensitive-skin, pediatric and frequent-use wipes and pads
- Viscose / polyester blends: added strength, texture and wet-strength for tougher cleaning
- Weight (GSM): selectable to balance softness, absorbency and durability
Match the material to the use
Tell us the application and the feel you want — or send a sample of a material you already like — and we will match or improve on it, then lock it into the spec with COA per lot.
Frequently asked questions
Can you make a softer wipe?
Yes. We saturate ultra-soft 100% viscose (rayon) for a noticeably gentler feel, ideal for sensitive-skin and frequent-use products.
Can you do a firmer or stronger web?
Yes. Viscose/polyester blends give more strength, texture and wet-strength for grip-and-scrub tasks.
Can you match our current material?
Send us a sample. Because we tune our own lines, we can match the substrate, weight and hand-feel — or improve on it.
